From Pa to Pa

 Math

this week in Math we are learning about maps and distances and things like that here is some of the work that I have done for that this week.

If you just went there by boat it would take you 145 km to get there by boat. This way would be probably the longest way by far because it takes a long time on boat.

And the most direct route would be 56km to get there, and you would be going south east but it would be hard to get there by that way  because you would have to go on land and then on water

Form Kaiapoi Pa to Ōnawe Pa it would take 1 hr and 35 minutes to get there and 102.9km to get there in a car. I would recommend going this way because it would be the easiest way to go.

What do you think would be the funnest way?

Writing T1 W5

Writing T1 W5

this week for writing we have write  2 paragraphs about a story we read, so here it is

Writing T1 W5

Main Idea 1

The text that I read this week was about the moari pa wars and what they used as there defence, what they used as there defensive back then to defend themselves was there nature around them to blend in so there enemies couldn’t see them that well also as an example like they built there defence and their base so they couldn’t get to it easily they put it in the piece of land that was surrounded by a massive river so they couldn’t get to it.

Main idea 2

What did a pa include, Pa can mean moari village or defensive settlement and it often has hills, forts, fortified settlement, defence terraces and also can has fortified villages. That is what I have learned after reading the book from this week.

Do you agree with me?
