how can innovation improve our lives
for pbl this term for pbl we have to make a produc that can improve our lives, the start of the term we were prettty set on making a bed maker but then we thought that it was going to be to hard to make and it had already existed. So then we had a better idea we thgought that we could make a can opener but make it kiwi themed so we made it into a kiwi. We thougt that the beck could be the can opener, but then we haqd to come up with a name. So we named it the kiwi can opener, it was originally called the kiwi coke can opener but that wasn't kiwi enough so we called it the kiwiana can opener. see you next week

the museum

Having fun at the museum
it was the 16th of September and we were of to the museum. At the start of the day my teacher miss Dungey read out our groups I was with most of my friends so I was pretty happy with the groups, the first thing that we did was explore  the museum to see what they had in store for us my favourite part of the the museum was the Allosauras bones or the meteor that has been in space that is pretty cool. then after we explored the museum we went outside and there was a huge tree almost everyone was climbing after we finished climbing the tree we played a ball game running away from the girls because they were trying to take the ball of us. when we went back into the museum one of the instructors was teaching us about how the maori lived about 1000 years ago and how they survived. then after they explained how the Maori lived ages ago we got to do heaps of activities that the Mao ri did. my favourite one was the carving when we got to carve a piece of wood. when we finished the all of the activities, sadly we had to go home and all so they told us to do an x sign when someone was taking a photo of us, see you next week.

Calendar Art
this week for art we are doing calendar art if you don't know what calendar is you draw a picture and put lines in the background and it can't be to detailed otherwise it won't work. You colour in the background with pastel's it can be any type of colour but our class choose pastels. some Technics that we used are stippling, blending, scumbling and sgraffito. mybe your school could try calendar art one day here is a video of a Technic.

Archie: last tuesday, on the 11 of september 2019, at 9:33 and 14 seconds pm Lucas the grandma accused the wolf of kidnaping her.  So today, on the 20th of september, we head to court to discuss this.

Archie: The wolf has been rightly accused of kidnapping, your statement please Grandma.

Grandma : I want to sue the wolf for  kidnapping me. He came to my house with one job and one job only, to kidnap me. With evidence of and broken door and wolf footprints leading to my bed. And when I woke up I was in the woods with a scar on my head. 

Wolf: I objected the was no smashed door what are you talking about. She’s obviously delusional like, just look at her. How old is she?

 Lawyer: my client  is not lying there is now evidence that my client smashed a door he entered through the door, I strongly believe that you are lying Grandma. And the footprints are your Cheetah slippers.

Archie : Stop you are right about there now evidence about the door but there is a police statement about the footprints leading up to the bed but we don’t know if they are slippers or the Wolf’s footprints. Now could we invite the witness up to the now  stand please.  

Jimi: I was there at the time walking my dog through the woods and then I heard a window smash and I looked to investigate. When I got there and I saw a little bit of wolf fur on the front broken doorstep and I immediately ran behind a tree and called the police.

Grandmas Lawyer: As I was making a cup of coffee grandma was taking a nap then she hears  something break down the door then before she knew it, she had been kidnapped. It was a terrible seen to see I was terrified.

Yes but the wolf still kidnaped the grandma wolf why did you kidnap grandma.  

I did not. I was simply asking you if you wanted to buy some cookies for a  fundraiser. I knocked on the door but no one answered I could hear something. The door accidently broke then the Grandma followed me out of the house to try and get me. 

I have come to an agreement this has been a misunderstanding. Grandma woke up and chased the wolf but she fell over and hit her head.  That’s why she went back to sleep, and why she has a scar on her head. So you are both off the hook But its not over if we find some more evidence. writi

Another week another piece of writing.

How has technology changed the way we learn?

 Your school probably uses nothing but computers but let's take it back to the olden days, what did schools use in the olden days? In the olden days they used typewriters. Typewriters are a funny looking thing it’s like a piece of wood with keys on it. 


But how has technology changed from then and now? Nowadays we use laptops and Chromebooks, but it was much different  back then. Some people think that using Chromebooks are bad for your learning but some people think the opposite, they think that it is good for your learning. Another thing that has changed the way we have learned are printers.

Printers have changed the way we have learned a lot, they didn't have printers in the olden days in fact they didn’t have anything in the olden days. Printers are amazing when you finish writing your speech you probably printed it out and stuck it on some cards. But printers can do much more, printers can photo copy and print things with heaps of colour. But the most important thing that has changed our learning is the space we work in. 

The space we work in at our school is amazing, the space we work in today has changed the way I work it so great having a nice school. In the olden days everyone had to work in one specific place and on a pacific desk that would be horrific.
